Why We Do Not Recommend DTF Transfers for Responsible Premium Garments
We prefer printing methods that offer a softer feel, longer lifespan, and a more responsible end result. Water-based screen printing creates breathable and durable prints without the thick plastic-like surface often associated with heat transfer films.
DTF transfer printing does not meet our own quality and sustainability standards. Each heat transfer produces a piece of plastic waste equal to the size of the printed design, and the polyurethane adhesive used in DTF transfers does not meet GOTS certification requirements. Because of this, a GOTS-certified garment loses its certification when marked with a DTF transfer.
Based on our experience, water-based screen printing also provides a better feel and longer-lasting result compared to heat transfer films. The print looks more natural, feels more comfortable in daily use, and maintains its premium appearance wash after wash.
We always choose our printing methods based on quality, comfort, durability, and sustainability — not solely on achieving the lowest possible production cost.
