T-Shirts with Your Own Design

Our specialty is eye-catching 3D prints, giving garments a truly unique and premium appearance. Stanley/Stella has selected KH-Print’s 3D prints for showcase products in their European and U.S. collections, reflecting the exceptional quality and finishing of our printing techniques.

Eco-Friendly / Sustainable Textile - Print

Ecological t-shirt prints

For our prints, we use eco-friendly WBI waterbased ink inks and GOTS-certified printing methods. This ensures that the print feels soft, looks sharp, and withstands repeated washing without cracking or creating a thick plastic-like surface.

Frequently Asked Questions

What printing methods can be used to customise t-shirts?

We offer several methods for custom printed t-shirts: water-based WBI screen printing (GOTS-certified), 3D prints, spot process and specialty inks, discharge, glitter, puff and foil, DTG (direct to garment), embroidery, and DTF heat-transfer film. The best method depends on order quantity, print size, and the finish you want. Learn about our print methods.

How well does the print hold up in the wash?

A professionally applied print lasts for years with normal wear and washing. We recommend turning garments inside out, washing at 40 °C, and avoiding tumble drying to maximise print life.

Screen printing is the most durable method; DTG prints also wash very well. DTF heat transfers are not intended for long-term use on responsible premium garments — we do not recommend them for those products.

DTF does not meet our quality and sustainability criteria: each transfer produces plastic waste, and the polyurethane adhesive does not meet GOTS certification requirements. A GOTS-certified garment loses certification if a DTF transfer is added. We prefer water-based screen printing for a softer feel and better wash durability than heat-transfer film.

What is the minimum order quantity for printed t-shirts?

Minimum quantity depends on the print method. For DTG, the minimum is 5 pieces. For 3D printing, the minimum is 20 pieces; we recommend batches of at least 30 (which can mix products with the same print placement). Larger runs reduce the unit price. Request a quote.

Can I use my own logo or artwork?

Yes. Send your logo, text, or artwork. For best results we recommend vector files (PDF, AI, EPS, or SVG) or high-resolution images (PSD, TIFF, PNG) with layers separated. At 1:1 size we recommend at least 450 dpi. Large files can be sent via WeTransfer or similar.

What colour specifications do you use?

If your logo has defined colours, include them with your order. Pantone Coated (PANTONE C) is ideal for print; we convert RGB and HEX values to the nearest Pantone C. Always attach brand guidelines when available. If colours are not specified, we match as closely as possible on screen; photographic artwork is approved against a proof.

How quickly are printed t-shirts delivered?

Lead time depends on quantity, stock availability, and print method. Production is typically 5–10 business days after proof approval. For urgent orders, contact us to discuss express options.

Can I order a sample or sizing set?

1. Paid blank sample set
Blank samples are shipped unprinted to your address for fitting; you are charged for blanks plus shipping (no return required). Product and freight costs are invoiced with your main order.

2. Samples before production
Samples are produced with your main run. You must deliver clean, stain-free garments to us before production — we are not responsible for stains from your fitting process.

A Showroom visit is the best way to choose products; book a visit at Snellmaninkatu 19–21, Helsinki.

Do you offer oversize t-shirt prints?

Yes — oversize prints are a specialty. We help position artwork on garments with years of experience. See examples in our gallery.

Do you offer 3D t-shirt printing?

Yes. KH-Print 3D prints are recognised across Europe and the USA. Stanley/Stella has selected our 3D work for their dealer sample ranges. 3D printing on t-shirts, hoodies, or sweatshirts is an excellent alternative to embroidery for fine detail. Read about 3D printing.

Do you offer embroidery?

Yes. We embroider with eco-friendly rayon-viscose thread (cellulose-based recycled fibre), softer than typical recycled polyester embroidery thread. We especially recommend embroidery for jackets, vests, caps, and beanies. Read about embroidery.

Can you help design how our logo should be applied?

Yes. With decades of experience we help plan prints and artwork for garments and full merchandise ranges. Get in touch with your idea.

What does GOTS-certified printing at KH-Print mean?

In August 2024 KH-Print became the first Finnish garment printer awarded GOTS certification — the right to sell GOTS-certified garments and to print and market textiles as GOTS-certified.

When both garments and decoration are GOTS-certified, you receive a fully responsible, certified package from a Finnish family business. Learn about GOTS-certified printing.
